The bestselling book the Hunger Games is being adapted into a movie. The Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mallark. The story takes place in the ruins of North America, where the nation of Paneam force 1teenage boy and 1 teenage girl from each district to fight in the Hunger Games, a fight to the death with only 1 winner.
This movie looks to be a blockbuster like Harry Potter and Twilight , which were also popular books adapted into movies. The Hunger Games looks to be a good sci fi adaptation of a popular book.
This movie is the adaptation of the 1st book in the bestselling excellent series. The 2nd has already been anounced and has a release date.
Based of the trailer it seems to adapt the book well. The book was an excellent book and devolped the characters so you care for them. Hopefully the movie will do the same.
The Hunger Games is probably going to be rated PG-13 for intense action violence and possibly language. The Hunger Games comes out on March 23, 2012.
