If you like epic ancient war movies than 300 is for you. 300 stars Gerard Butler as King Leondias the King of Sparta. Everything is peaceful in Sparta but a Persian messenger comes and demands Sparta becomes part of the Persian Empire. Leonidias says no and kicks the messenger into the pit of death and goes to battle the Persian King Xerses. The rest of the movie involves the Spartans fighting the Persians.
300 is an epic ancient war film. It is based off of 300, a book by Frank Miller’, a graphic novel cerntered around the Battle of Themopylae. 300 is great and some scenes will make you want to cheer or say Oh Yeah as the Spartans defeat the Persians. The action has a distinctive comic book style that works for the movie. It is also well directed.
300 is rated R for graphic battle sequences throughout, some sexuality and nudity. If you find and watch it on TV most of that will be editited out. If you want no sex, no nudity and no blood but still action go to www.purifiedpictures.com and order it using that system.
