If you like sci-fi horror with a tint of nostalgia, then Alien is for you. Alien stars Tom Skerritt as Dallas, Sigourney Weaver as Ripley, Veronica Cartwright as Lambert, Harry Dean Stanton as Brett , John Hurt as Kane, Ian Holm as Ash and Yaphet Kotto as Parker.
Alien is about when a team of explorers visit an unexplored planet and come back with an unexpected surprise,an Alien monster that starts hunting down the crew 1 by 1.
Alien is very suspenseful, but some of the effects do not hold up today. Besides that, the movie is very suspenseful. It is also full of jump scenes which successfully scare you and keep you on the edge of your seat. Which makes it very thrilling and entertaining. It keeps you guessing which character is going to get killed next. And you don’t know who the protagonist is until the end. They develop the characters so when a character gets killed you know who it is. The infamous chest-bursting secne holds up okay, but the special effects on the little alien who is covered in red blood looks kind of fake.
Alien is rated R sci-fi violence/gore and language. Alien gets a wormlike slimy A+!
