If you like action filled, sci-fi movies then Armageddon is for you. Armageddon stars Bruce Willis as Harry Stamper, Ben Affleck as A.J. Frost, Billy Bob Thorton as Dan Truman, Liv Tyler as Grace Stamper, Will Paton as Charles ” Chick ” Chappel, Steve Buscemi as ” Rockhound”, Michael Clarke Duncan as J. Otis ” Bear” Kurleen Bear, Peter Stormare as Lev Andropo, Owen Wilson as Oscar Choice, and William Fichnter as Colonel Willie Sharp. Quite the cast.
Armageddon starts with a giant meteor (the size of Texas) on course to impact Earth. To change the course of the meteor, NASA sends a team of drillers to drill a hole in the meteor and drop a nuclear bomb into the hole .
Armageddon is an amazing movie with a lot of special effects and massive destruction sequences. Many cities get destroyed and the visuals hold up well, especially considering the fact that this movie came out in 1998. The movie also has comic relief as the crew members make remarks about the mission and NASA. Overall, Armageddon is an exciting movie that is fun to watch.
Armageddon is rated PG-13 for sci-fi disaster action, sensuality and brief language. I give Armageddon an action filled A+.
