If you like hilarious comedies then The Hangover is for you. It stars Ed Helms as Stu Price, Bradley Cooper as Phil Wenneck, Zach Galifianakis as Alan Garner, Justin Bartha as Doug, Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow, Jeffery Tambor as Sid Garner, and Heather Graham as Jade.
The Hangover is about 5 friends who travel to Vegas for a bachelor party and must find the groom before his wedding.
It’s a hilarious comedy that is very silly. But it is non stop comedy from the beginning all the way to the end. As they try to unravel the wild and crazy night and retrace their steps ,each discovery is very comical as details are slowly revealed, and the situations they find themselves in are very funny . What the movie does very well is how the night is never shown till the end. So you are seeing what happened at the same time as the characters. Once the discoveries start, they happen at a quick pace. The whole movie is very fast paced clocking in around 100 minuets. That is a runtime that works very well, allowing the movie to never get boring.
Even if they are just driving a car, they still banter about everything that is going on and random things keeping the humor alive. There is also a very funny extended cameo that involves boxing, tigers, pianos, steak, security cameras and Phil Collins.
All of the main characters are great and hilarious with each of their individual characteristics all playing off of each other. There is also a crazy kidnapper Mr. Chow who is very funny making repeated jokes and an unexpected first appearance . It also has many one liners and quotable lines. Overall, The Hangover is a hilarious comedy.
The Hangover is rated R for pervasive language, sexual content including nudity, and some drug material. I give The Hangover a hungover A-.
