If you like smart action thrillers then The Bourne Legacy is for you. It stars Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross, Rachel Weisz as Dr. Marta Shearing, Edward Nortron as Eric Byer, Scott Glen as Era Kramer, and Joan Allen as Pamela Landy.
The Bourne Legacy starts during an Agency test for Aaron Cross a secret agent. Meanwhile, the events of the movie The Bourne Ultimatum happen and the agencies all react. Just when Aaron thinks he is going home the house he is in is blown up and the owner is killed. This happens because the leaders of the program he is in want to burn the program to the ground by killing all of the workers and agents. He then must escape with a doctor and go after the heads of the program.
The Bourne Legacy is an entertaining spy thriller. It has many twists and turns and great action. There are many exotic locations in which the action is set. The action sequences are quick and fast and intense. It is anywhere from hand to hand combat to vehicular chase scenes. They are all very well done and exciting. The CIA scenes are also well done. The best thing about this movie is that even with a different star and director, it still feels like you are watching one of the original Bourne movies. It does not go anywhere the originals did not. That is a good thing, otherwise, this installment would not have been as good. It is just as good and action packed as the 1st three Bourne movies. Overall, The Borune Legacy is a good franchise continuation movie filled with action.
The Bourne Legacy is rated PG-13 for violence and action sequences. I give The Bourne Legacy an A.
