Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is a re-imagining of the classic fairy-tale. It opens with Hansel and Gretel burning the witch in the candy house. It then shows via montage how they come to be known as witch hunters. They arrive in a town that is having a witch problem as a blood moon is coming up.
Hansel and Gretel : Witch Hunters is a fun over the top action movie. If you go in expecting that, like I did, then you will enjoy it.. It is also very short but that is a good thing because I do not know what else they could have done if it were longer. It would not have been good then. The action is crazy. Hansel and Gretel has a mix of modern day and past weapons. The movie is also very gory. Do not see this if you mind gore. If you don’t mind it, then go see this and have a good time. It is a good movie for a Saturday/Sunday afternoon trip to the movies or rental. Overall, Hansel and Gretel : Witch Hunters is a fun action movie.
Hansel and Gretel : Witch Hinters is rated R for strong fantasy horror violence and gore, brief sexuality/nudity and language. It deserves that rating. I give Hansel and Gretel : Witch Hunters a loud B.
