The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Review

The Incredible Burt WonderstoneIf you like silly fun comedies then The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is for you. It stars Steve Carrell as Burt Wonderstone, Steve Buscemi as Anton Marvelton, Jim Carrey as Steve Gray, Olivia Wilde as Jane, and Alan Arkin as Rance Holloway.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is about the flashy Las Vegas magician Burt Wonderstone and his parter Anton Marvelton. They have been performing in a Las Vegas theater for years when the up and coming street magician Steve Gray threatens to steal their thunder. Burt and Anton attempt to out do him but it fails miserably and Burt and Anton have a fall out. Without Anton, Burt’s show is soon pulled and he ends up in a retirement home where he must rediscover his love for magic and gain his partner and the Las Vegas strip back.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is a silly fun comedy. The jokes are funny as well as the physical comedy. The stunts pulled by Gray are crazy and are a constant source of laughter.  The movie is not too long and that is a good thing because otherwise, the jokes could get worn thin. Some of them are too over the top though. But that does not happen too often.  Overall, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is a funny comedy.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is rated PG-13 for sexual content, dangerous stunts, a drug-related incident and language. I give Burt Wonderstone a magical B+.
