If you like political dramas then The Ides of March is for you. It stars George Clooney as Govenor Mike Morris who is 1 of the 2 presidential nominees for the Democratic party, Philip Seymour Hoffman as the senior campaign advisor Paul Zara, Ryan Gosling as the campaign advisor Stephen Myers, Evan Rachel Wood as an intern named Molly Sterns, Paul Giamatti as the other candidate’s senior campaign advisor Tom Duffy, Max Minghella as Ben Harper, Jeffery Wright as Senator Thompson, and Micheal Mantell as the other presidental nominee Senator Pullman.
The Ides of March is about the days leading up to a heavily contested Ohio primary with Stephen Myers getting a first hand learning of dirty politics and coverups.
The The Ides of March is good and has an interesting story. It successfully shows the dark side of political cover-ups . The characters are developed enough so you can understand the story. That allows you to enjoy the movie more than if you didn’t know about them. Overall, The Ides of March is a good and enjoyable, thoughtful movie.
The Ides of March is rated R for pervasive language.( There are a lot of F-bombs). I give The Ides of March an A-.
